James Bay Arctic Edge TourMarch 2007

Shane,

What does a carpet cleaner, a plumber, a meat cutter, a grocer, a retired Coronal & a few others have in common? Yeeeeeehaaaa!
They are off to the Arctic's Edge!

Thank you R&S Tours for an exciting week on the beautiful Canadian Trails. Great planning, exceptional accommodations, plenty of good food (even some gourmet) as well as guides with our safety in mind this vacation was one we won't soon forget!

We would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to enjoy the out of doors on their snowmobile. Thank you

Shane and staff, you did a wonderful job! We look forward to riding with you next year.

Thanks again for the fun Snowmobile tour we had through Northern Ontario. We all had a great time. You and Ron really made us feel very comfortable and very well cared for.

Dear Shane,

My first Ontario trip. What did I expect? I expected miles of untraveled wide groomed trails. What I got was a very nice tour with a considerate man who guided us well to good accommodations in lovely country. Share, you spent lots of personal time helping us fix my buddy's broken sled which we really appreciated. Some trails were fine, some were freshly groomed and some were rough but a all times you set the right speed and made sure we were safe and as comfortable as possible. Twelve hundred miles of vigorous running. Thanks,

Hello Shane,

Great trip.   Again I would like to thank you very much for all the help you were, the day before our trip. Without you running me to Canadian Tire and the use of the club shop, my trip would have been not possible. Thank Jerry at your club for me, for the trail permit and the use of the shop. I still have not received the permit in the mail, at this time I would consider it lost in the system. Well again Thank you very much and I see you Mar 5th, for the Arctic trip.   Till Then, take care and think snow,

 Shane and Ron,

Just wanted to thank you both again for an amazing ATV adventure!  We have  never done anything like this before and weren't sure what to expect and I  have to admit that I was a little nervous  but you guys put together an  incredible 4 days for us!

We loved the hills (even the one that you  weren't sure we should go down!!!), the water crossings and ESPECIALLY the  mud hole! Lunches were always great - Ron, you're the best trail chef we  know!

Thank you for showing us the beautiful area that you call home and  for sharing all of your stories with us. You provide a first class tour from lodging to food to scenery to adventure and I can confidently recommend your tours to all.

Looking forward to a return trip in the fall of 2006!

Jim and I both want to thank you for a wonderful trip. I was initially very nervous being the only female--- but everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Ron was wonderful!!  He drove at a nice pace... He frequently stopped just to make sure we were all together  - but kept us going so that we got in before dark!!  If something happened you always knew he would be back to check on us.   Having the support vehicle was great!  When Don broke down he was right there to pick him up and stayed w/ him until his sled was fixed so he only missed a 1/2 day!!  The lodging was great every single night -- we ate very well!! The people we met were wonderful -- Jim and I both feel we've made new friends - we're already talking about meeting again as a group next year! Thanks so much for the best vacation we've ever had... you did a great job and we'll definitely see you next year!!

Well, another year down.  Can't wait until the 2005 ride...The 2004 train ride was our third year in a row.  In those three years we rode about 1300 miles and very few were over the same trails.  The 2005 ride will still be over new trails. The guide was great, the food was good and the scenery was awesome.  Margie thanks you for the good time and she is filling out her photo book. Will see you in August 2005...........

Hey Shane,

Just a quick note to say what an incredible tour. The 415 miles (not kilometers) was the best riding we have ever had. We encountered everything from hilly terrain, rocky terrain and of course MUD. The mud holes and rivers were just awesome. We definitely put the Grizzlies to the test, it’s a good thing that we had winches to pull out the outlander, eh! We also enjoyed the scenery immensely. The pictures we took do not even come close to representing the beauty of Canada. I just wish we could have gotten some pictures of the bear and moose that we encountered. I will be back and hopefully this summer yet. Just an AWESOME AWESOME trip.
Thank you Shane for your guidance, knowledge and humor.

I will be sending a bill for my entertainment services, eh! Douglas W. Ninneman

Shane,

Thanks for taking me on one of the most exciting adventures I have ever been on.
You covered everything from sand dunes to crossing muddy marshes. Thanks for the exciting trip.

Shane,

Just a note thanking you and Ron for the wonderful atv ride in Oct. 2003.

The trails were as great as last years. The weather, rain one day, then a little sun, finally a little snow, enhanced the ride and the scenery. Glad we had a chance to appear on the national ATV Magazine TV show. Can't wait until the spring when it comes on tv.

The month we spent went by so quickly. We meet many good people during our stay, treated us like family. Margie highlight was having dinner with the mayor. Thank our fishing guide for the fine fishing adventure. I thought the 2002 tour was outstanding, but the 2003 ride was as good or better. We can't wait until the 2004 Big Ride in Sept.

Your friends in the West.

Hi Shane,

Just wanted to say thanks for the great riding! We enjoyed the variety of trails. The water crossings were cool and the BIG hill was awesome. Our seven year old did not want to go home! Thanks to your wife for putting that little extra into the lunches for the little one. The riding was both challenging and relaxing with lots of great scenery.

We will be back next year, the wife already has an ATV on her Christmas wish list! Hope you can find a nice big mud hole for her to play in! We have spread the word to friends and hopefully we can bring along some new recruits next time.

Thanks Again!
The Achilles

Hello - Just wanted to thank you again for the great time we had snowmobiling out of Wilderness Lodge. Although it was our first time ever on a snowmobile, the experience was challenging and fun! We are serious about returning next year and have shared our experiences with others! Hope you have had a good season, with lots more snow! Thanks, too for the info about next year's tours...we will share it with friends!

A great way to spend a winter vacation. If your looking for a snowmobile adventure, Northern Tours Tours is the only way to go! My wife & I enjoyed a 1200 kilometre 7-day wilderness tour with Northern Tours and we were comfortable being out in the middle of the wilderness with Ron & Shane. They are excellent tour guides. They made us feel comfortable and safe and made us feel we were the only ones on the tour. Every day and night was a adventure for us. The countryside is different around every bend and each of the seven inns had a flair of it's own. We have memories and stories that will last us a lifetime! Everything from crossing an open creek on our snowmobiles to seeing the abundant wildlife in the area.

If anyone reading this would like to hear about our adventure
feel free to call us at 513-741-1724 (Cincinnati OH, USA) or
write to us at zuma@fuse.net.

P.S. We can't wait to go on a A.T.V. tour with Northern Tours Tours this summer

Shane

Jerry and I would like to thank you for the three wonderful days of ATVing. The entire trip exceeded our expectations, especially the trail lunches. We never expected a hot meal on the trail. I have been to Canada many times fishing and never had the opportunity to see Canada's real backcountry as we did on this trip. The variety of trails and scenery made each day a new experience. We will be back next year.

August 2001

Shane

Thanks for a great holiday, the boys and I had a great time. They liked the logging roads and open trails, while I preferred the small forest trails, and some great hills. You have opened our eyes to ATVing, and to the great country around Elliot lake. I hope our paths cross again soon.
